Privacy Policy
This policy covers Loupe, the macOS tethering app, and this website. Loupe is developed and sold by Motoki Endo (the “Developer”), an individual. Seller details required by Japanese law are on the seller information page.
Your captures never leave your Mac
Every image Loupe touches is processed locally. Live view frames, captured RAW files, histograms, focus scores and calibration measurements are never uploaded to the Developer or to anyone else. There is no cloud sync and no analysis of what you photograph.
What follows describes the only network traffic Loupe and this site produce: licensing, payment, an optional crash report, the update check, and web hosting.
1. What is collected, and why
1.1 Licensing and trial
Creating an account (your email address plus a 6-digit code) stores the following on the licensing server:
- your email address;
- the 6-digit code, hashed with HMAC-SHA256 (never stored in plain text) and deleted once used or expired;
- a device identifier: the SHA-256 hash of your Mac’s hardware UUID. The raw identifier is never sent;
- your Mac’s name, as set in macOS sharing settings — which often contains a personal name;
- the app version;
- a device token, stored hashed. The token itself is held only in your Mac’s Keychain;
- purchase records from Stripe: customer, checkout and payment identifiers, the purchase date, and whether a refund or dispute occurred.
This data is used to issue and verify licences and trials, to enforce one trial per Mac and per email address, to revoke a licence after a refund or dispute, and to answer support requests.
Once verified, the result is stored on your Mac as a signed file and stays valid offline for 30 days. During that period the app makes no network requests for licensing.
1.2 Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Card details go directly to Stripe; the Developer never receives or stores them. What the Developer receives from Stripe is the identifiers of a completed purchase, the email address used, and the date. Stripe’s own handling of your data is governed by Stripe’s privacy policy.
1.3 Crash reports (optional, off by default)
If Loupe quits unexpectedly, the next launch asks whether you want to send the crash report macOS generated (an .ips file).
- Without your consent, nothing is scanned and nothing is sent.
- What is sent is that report, verbatim. Loupe adds no user name, host name or usage log of its own. The report macOS writes does, however, contain diagnostic identifiers and runtime information. You can read the whole file on screen before it is sent.
- It is used only to investigate the fault.
- Reports are deleted automatically after 180 days.
- You can change your choice at any time in Settings > General. Switching sending off deletes any report still waiting on your Mac.
- To have already-sent reports deleted, write to the address below.
1.4 Update checks
The automatic update mechanism (Sparkle) checks for new versions. That request leaves your IP address, the app version and your language setting in the update server’s access log. Your macOS version and hardware model are not transmitted.
1.5 This website
This site sets no cookies. Your language choice is kept in your browser’s local storage and is never transmitted. The hosting provider (Cloudflare) records IP addresses and request metadata in its access logs. No analytics or tracking scripts are installed.
2. Processors and international transfer
The licensing server and the crash report endpoint run on Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), which also delivers the verification code emails. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (United States). The data described above is therefore stored and processed on servers outside Japan.
3. No sharing beyond that
Apart from the processors above, collected data is never sold or disclosed to third parties, except where disclosure is required by law.
4. Retention
- Licence and purchase records: retained while they are needed to verify your licence and to handle refunds.
- Verification codes: deleted on use, or 10 minutes after issue.
- Crash reports: 180 days.
- Trial records: retained, since they are what prevents a second trial on the same Mac or email address.
5. Access, correction and deletion
Write to support@bedroomdev.app from the email address you registered, so the request can be attributed to you. Note that deleting your licence record also removes the licence and trial entitlement attached to it.
6. Minors
Use of Loupe by persons under the age of 16 requires the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
7. Changes
Revisions are published on this page, and material changes are also announced in the app. Where the English and Japanese versions differ, the Japanese version prevails.

プライバシーポリシー
macOS 用テザー撮影アプリ Loupe と本サイトにおける情報の取り扱いを定めます。Loupe は遠藤 元気（Motoki Endo。以下「開発者」）が個人で開発・販売しています。販売業者としての表示は特定商取引法に基づく表記にあります。
撮影したデータは Mac の外に出ません
Loupe が扱う画像は、すべてお使いの Mac の中だけで処理されます。ライブビューの映像、撮影した RAW ファイル、ヒストグラム、フォーカススコア、キャリブレーションの測定値を、開発者や第三者へ送信することはありません。クラウド同期も、撮影内容の分析も行いません。
以下に書くのは、Loupe と本サイトで発生する通信のすべてです。ライセンス、決済、任意のクラッシュレポート、更新の確認、そしてサイトの配信に限られます。
1. 取得する情報と利用目的
1.1 ライセンスとトライアル
アカウントの作成（メールアドレスの入力と 6 桁の確認コード）にともない、ライセンス管理サーバーに次の情報を保存します。
- メールアドレス
- 6 桁の確認コード（HMAC-SHA256 でハッシュ化。平文では保存せず、使用または有効期限切れの時点で削除します）
- 端末識別子（Mac の Hardware UUID を SHA-256 でハッシュ化した値。識別子そのものを送信することはありません）
- Mac の名前（macOS の共有設定で付けた名前。お名前が入っていることがあります）
- アプリのバージョン
- 端末トークン（ハッシュ化して保存します。トークン自体はお使いの Mac の Keychain にのみ保存されます）
- 購入の記録（Stripe の顧客・チェックアウト・支払いの各識別子、購入日時、返金や異議申立ての有無）
利用目的は、ライセンスとトライアルの発行および有効性の確認、トライアルを 1 台と 1 メールアドレスにつき 1 回に限る判定、返金や異議申立てにともなうライセンスの失効処理、お問い合わせへの対応です。
確認が済むと、結果は署名付きのファイルとしてお使いの Mac に保存され、30 日間はオフラインでも有効です。その間、ライセンスのための通信は発生しません。
1.2 決済
決済は Stripe, Inc. が処理します。カード情報は Stripe へ直接送信され、開発者が受け取ることも保存することもありません。開発者が Stripe から受け取るのは、購入が成立したことを示す識別子と、購入に使われたメールアドレス、購入日時です。Stripe における取り扱いは Stripe のプライバシーポリシーに従います。
1.3 クラッシュレポート（任意。既定では送信しません）
Loupe が予期せず終了した場合、次回の起動時に、macOS が生成したクラッシュレポート（.ips ファイル）を送信するかどうかをお尋ねします。
- 同意がない限り、レポートの検出も送信も行いません。
- 送信するのは、そのレポートの原文です。Loupe がユーザー名・ホスト名・操作ログを付け加えることはありません。ただし macOS が書き出すレポートには、診断用の識別子と実行時の情報が含まれます。送信前に全文を画面で確認できます。
- 利用目的は不具合の原因調査に限られます。
- 180 日を過ぎたレポートは自動的に削除されます。
- 設定 > 基本機能 でいつでも変更できます。送信をオフにすると、お使いの Mac に残っている未送信のレポートは削除されます。
- すでに送信したレポートの削除をご希望の場合は、下記の窓口へご連絡ください。
1.4 更新の確認
自動更新機能（Sparkle）が新しいバージョンの有無を確認します。この通信により、配信サーバーのアクセスログに IP アドレス、アプリのバージョン、OS の言語設定が記録されます。macOS のバージョンや機種の情報は送信されません。
1.5 本サイト
本サイトは Cookie を使用しません。表示言語の選択はブラウザの localStorage に保存しますが、送信することはありません。ホスティング事業者である Cloudflare のアクセスログに、IP アドレスとリクエストの情報が記録されます。アクセス解析や追跡のスクリプトは設置していません。
2. 委託先と国外への移転
ライセンス管理サーバーとクラッシュレポートの受け口は Cloudflare, Inc.（米国）のサービス上で稼働しており、確認コードのメール送信も同社を経由します。決済は Stripe, Inc.（米国）が処理します。したがって上記の情報は、日本国外のサーバーで保管・処理されます。
3. 第三者への提供
上記の委託先を除き、取得した情報を第三者へ提供または販売することはありません。法令に基づく開示が必要な場合を除きます。
4. 保存期間
- ライセンスと購入の記録: ライセンスの有効性の確認と返金対応に必要な間、保存します。
- 確認コード: 使用時、または発行から 10 分で削除します。
- クラッシュレポート: 180 日
- トライアルの記録: 同じ Mac・同じメールアドレスでの再取得を防ぐためのものなので、保存を継続します。
5. 開示・訂正・削除のご請求
ご登録のメールアドレスから support@bedroomdev.app へご連絡ください。ご本人からのご請求であることの確認に用います。ライセンスの記録を削除すると、それに紐づくライセンスとトライアルの権利も失われます。
6. 未成年の方について
16 歳未満の方の利用には、保護者の同意が必要です。
7. 改定
改定した場合は本ページで告知し、重要な変更はアプリ内でもお知らせします。日本語版と英語版で内容に相違がある場合は、日本語版を正本とします。
